International Meditation Centre Buddhagaya

In the center of Bodh-Gaya. Vipassana meditation in the Mahasi tradition. Practitioners receive daily individual meditation instructions. During the retreat, the four foundations of mindfulness (contemplation of the body, feelings, mind, and mental objects) are practiced, whereby all arising phenomena should be mentally noted. The primary meditation object while sitting is the rising and falling of the abdomen, and while walking, the movement of the foot. Since there is individual guidance, no particular starting date needs to be observed. For beginners, 10 days are recommended. All participants commit to observing the eight silas (moral precepts) and noble silence (also no reading, writing, etc.). Vegetarian dishes of good quality. Higher safety of drinking water through brought disinfectant. A small daily fee is charged for the incurred costs. Further donations that serve the maintenance of the center are gladly accepted. Best travel time November to February.
