The-pyu Tawya Vipassana Meditation Centre & Monastery

This monastery, newly built two years ago (as of 2005), is growing rapidly and currently consists of eight buildings. It is located north of Yangon on a side road between Haukkant Junction and Hmawbi. There is currently no telephone connection and it operates independently of S.N. Goenka. By taxi it takes about an hour from Yangon.

Leadership: Ashin Sayadaw U Panna Jota

Meditation Technique: 10-day retreats as in the tradition of S.N. Goenka.
